Job Description :Estimation Engineer – LV Switchgear Company

Position: Estimation Engineer – LV Switchgear

Location :Chennai, India

Experience:Freshers / 1–2 Years

Qualifications:Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

Role and Responsibilities 

1. Requirement Review · Review requirements in specifications and project drawings received from customers. · Understand client RFQs, technical specifications, SLDs, and BOQs. 2. Cost Estimation and Offer Preparation 

· Prepare cost estimates and offers for:o LV Switchgear Panels ,o MCCs 

o VFD Panels o Soft Starters o Power Factor Correction Panels 

o LCPs o SMDBs o DBso Other allied switchgear products.

· Prepare offers according to client RFQs, technical specifications, SLDs, and BOQs.3. Sales and Technical Support· Support the Sales team in responding to customer RFQs and post-sales technical queries.· Prepare Technical Submittals.

4. Customer and Consultant Coordination.· Coordinate with customers and consultants for drawing approvals.· Maintain up-to-date pricing of required components.5. Supplier Coordination· Interact with suppliers and principals to obtain suitable technical solutions and competitive prices.· Coordinate with Suppliers, Clients, Sales, Production, and Design teams.Desired Candidate Profile 

1. Basic knowledge or academic exposure to Electrical Designing, Engineering, and Estimation of LV Panels.2. Knowledge of costing and tendering of LV Switchgear Panels, MCCs, VFDs, Soft Starters, Power FactorCorrection Panels, LCPs, SMDBs, DBs, and other allied switchgear products.3. Basic understanding of IEC standards for LV Switchgear/Control Gear and components.4. Basic knowledge of power system protection and relaying.5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.6. Good communication and coordination skills.7. Ability to work with Sales, Design, Production, Suppliers, Customers, and Consultants.8. Willingness to learn and develop skills in electrical estimation, costing, tendering, and LV Switchgear

solutions.9. Candidates with relevant internship, academic project, or practical exposure in electrical estimation orswitchgear will be preferred.Experience 

Freshers: Candidates with relevant academic knowledge, project experience, or internship exposure in Electrical Engineering, LV Switchgear, Estimation, Costing, or Tendering are encouraged to apply.

1–2 Years: Candidates with relevant experience in LV Switchgear estimation, costing, tendering, technical 

submittals, or electrical engineering will be preferred
