Greetings from AIKTC!!!

Dear Sir/Madam,

Greetings from the Osdag Project, FOSSEE, IIT Bombay.

Osdag is a free/libre and open-source software for the design and detailing of steel structures, developed as part of the FOSSEE Project under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT), Ministry of Education, Government of India, at IIT Bombay. FOSSEE promotes the use of Free/Libre and Open Source Software (FOSS) in education and research.

 

As part of this initiative, FOSSEE offers internship opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience by contributing to open-source projects.

 

Applications are now open for the Osdag Autumn Semester-Long Internship under the FOSSEE Project, IIT Bombay.

 

The internship offers opportunities in Civil Engineering and Software Development, with projects related to structural engineering, bridge engineering, CAD/BIM, software development, testing, UI development, and open-source engineering tools.

 

Selection is through screening tasks, which are miniature versions of the actual internship work.

 

We encourage:

 

Students to apply and gain hands-on experience by contributing to an open-source engineering software project.

Faculty members to encourage eligible students to apply and kindly forward this announcement within their departments and institutions.
