About the Role

Scaleswift builds consumer apps people actually use. Kael is our flagship: an AI life coach that identifies belief patterns, triggers, and behavioral scripts across sessions. It remembers conversations, follows up, and builds an evolving profile of the user over time. Kael has a 5.0 rating on the App Store and is in active daily use.

This is a founding-team role. You own real parts of a live production codebase, not a sandbox. Your work ships to real users. What You Will Own

Mobile App

• Build and maintain the Kael React Native app (Expo or CLI)

• Write clean, scalable TypeScript / JavaScript

• Implement UI, navigation, state management, and app logic

• Optimize performance and fix production issues

Backend

• Build and maintain REST APIs using Node.js

• Work with PostgreSQL: schema design, queries, migrations

• Handle auth, data flow, and third-party integrations

iOS and Android Builds

• Create and manage builds via Xcode and Android Studio

• Handle certificates, provisioning profiles, and keystores

• Submit and manage updates on App Store Connect and Google Play Console

• Handle hotfixes and store rejections end-to-end

Production Ownership

• Integrate analytics, crash reporting, and monitoring tools

• Debug and resolve real-world production issues

• Ship fixes without hand-holding

Mandatory Requirements

All of the following are required. Missing any one is a disqualifier.

• At least one live mobile app on App Store and/or Google Play, built by you personally

• React Native development (Expo or CLI)

• Backend API development with Node.js

• Relational database experience (PostgreSQL or similar)

• End-to-end App Store and/or Play Store submission experience

• Ability to debug and fix production issues independently

What Your Application Must Include

1. Live App Store or Play Store link(s)

2. A short note covering: what you personally built, whether you handled store submission, the backend stack used, and one production issue you fixed yourself.

Applications without live links will not be reviewed.

Tech Stack

Good to Have

• Experience with AI or LLM integrations (we use Claude)

• Supabase or similar BaaS platforms

• In-app purchases / subscription implementation

• Firebase, Sentry, or similar monitoring tools

• CI/CD basics: Fastlane, GitHub Actions

• Not a feature-only or single-screen role

• Not a place to learn React Native basics on the job

• Not a place to support someone else's architecture

• Not a corporate role with meetings and hand-holding

• Not a role where you wait to be unblocked
